AuraTarot Privacy Policy
AuraTarot is a tarot, crystal ball, Magic 8 Ball and horoscope app. This policy explains what data the app handles, what leaves your device and what does not.
Nature of the app
AuraTarot is an entertainment app. Its tarot readings, the crystal ball and the Magic 8 Ball (which answer at random) and the horoscope have no scientific basis and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The app does not perform any kind of medical or biometric analysis.
1. Data stored only on your device
This data is stored in the app's private area, which no other app can access:
- Reading history: title, summary, interpretation, date, sign and scores of each tarot spread. If you are updating from an earlier version, your saved palm readings are also kept.
- Profile: the name you enter and your date of birth, from which your zodiac sign and life path number are derived.
- Preferences: visual theme and the time of the daily reminder.
There is no user account, no sign-up and no cloud sync. This data is also excluded from Android's cloud backup, so it is not copied to Google Drive. It can be transferred directly from one phone to another if you use Android's device-to-device migration, which is a direct copy with no servers in between.
2. Another person's data in love compatibility
To calculate compatibility you can enter another person's name or alias and date of birth. That data is processed only on your device: it is not sent to any server and it is not saved when you leave the screen. Please only enter data of someone who agrees to it.
3. Camera and photos
Since version 1.3, AuraTarot does not use the camera and does not access your photos or gallery. Up to version 1.2 the app let you photograph your hand for a palm reading; that feature was removed and the app no longer asks for the camera permission. Photos were never stored or sent: they were processed in memory and discarded when the analysis ended.
4. Data that does leave the device
Your readings and your profile never leave the device. AuraTarot does not use artificial intelligence or third-party services to write the readings: the tarot spreads, the answer balls and the horoscope are generated entirely on your phone.
The only thing that leaves the device is what advertising needs:
4.1 Google AdMob (advertising)
The app is free and is funded by advertising served by Google AdMob, which may collect the device's advertising ID, technical data about the device, the approximate IP address and your interaction with ads, in order to show ads and measure their performance.
Where the law requires it, the app shows a consent form before loading any ad. You can review or change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Options.

5. Permissions and what they are for

Notifications are optional: if you decline them, the tarot, the balls and the horoscope keep working. Internet and device startup do not need your confirmation, because Android grants them when the app is installed.
6. Retention and deletion
Your readings stay on the device until you delete them.
You can delete everything from Settings → Delete All My History and Local Data, or by uninstalling the app. Your readings, your profile (name and date of birth) and your preferences are removed. In both cases deletion is immediate and permanent: since there is no copy on any server, the data cannot be recovered afterwards.

7. Children
AuraTarot is intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not meant for anyone younger and does not knowingly collect their data.
8. Your rights
You can access all your data from the app itself and delete it whenever you want, without asking anyone, because it lives only on your device.
Depending on where you live, the applicable law (GDPR in the European Union, CCPA in California, LFPDPPP in Mexico) may give you additional rights of access, rectification, deletion and objection. To exercise them, write to the contact address above.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the date in the header will be updated and the new version will be published at this same address.
